Scoping Study on Attitudes and Behaviours Towards Food
Project Code: X03004
09/11/2010
The ’Food and You’ survey
Food and You is an annual survey that collects robust quantitative data to allow us to compare attitudes and behaviours between different groups within the population, and how these change over time.
The survey also gives us the opportunity to carry out follow-up interviews (with people who give us their permission to do so) to explore some issues in greater depth.
The survey began in 2010 and will be an important vehicle in measuring progress against the Agency’s Strategic Plan 2010–15.
Around 3,000 people from across the UK, selected using random probability sampling, will be interviewed. If you have been asked to take part in the survey you may want to view our frequently asked questions page, which gives further information about what participation in the survey involves.
To inform the development of Food and You survey, the Agency commissioned a scoping study to review existing research (predominately quantitative) exploring attitudes and behaviours towards food. The project mainly focused on methodological issues.
